Hombu Dojo Recognition


The Australasian Aikikai is pleased to announce that Hombu Dojo Japan has taken a resolution to issue Hombu Recognition to the Australasian Aikikai effective on October 1st, 2014 in accordance with the rules set forth in the International Regulations of Aikido World Headquarters.

Congratulations must go to students and teachers alike within the A.A. who have all worked diligently for many years to make this dream a reality.

Special mention goes to Gordon Jones 7th Dan Shihan, Principal of the United Kingdom Aikikai and Technical Director of the A.A. who as campaigned hard on their behalf.

Thanks also go to Guy Needler, General Secretary of the U.K.A. for his support.
