The Australasian Aikikai is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of the Japanese Martial Art of Aikido, which is a non-confrontational system of self defence with a philosophy of creating a more peaceful and harmonious world.
The Australasian Aikikai is a non-profit, non-political, secular organisation and welcomes like-minded people of goodwill to train together in the true spirit of harmony.
Comprising of four “House Dojos”, and three other satellite dojos situated in Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide and on the Central Coast, all instructors are accredited and registered with the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo Japan. Classes on offer include Aikido and related weapons work, boken, jo, and tanto, iaido, along with children’s classes and Zazen Meditation.
The Australasian Aikikai offers the opportunity for personal development through controlled disciplined training in a safe and friendly environment and welcomes beginners and experienced students alike, from all styles and denominations.
Whilst maintaining a strong affiliation with the United Kingdom Aikikai, the Australasian Aikikai aspires to teach the traditional techniques and philosophy of Morihei Ueshiba O’Sensei.
